East Towne Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist!

 

Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Receptionist
  • Status: Part-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:45 am - 5:30 pm. At least one Saturday per month 7:45 am - 1:30 pm. Availability to help cover staff our of office times is desirable.

Client Care Specialists create the first impression of our practice for every visitor and guest. They are responsible for providing professional, compassionate communication both in person and through our multi-line phone system; scheduling appointments; processing payments; closing out the daily cash drawer; maintaining accurate patient records; and requesting and obtaining prior veterinary records and other essential information to support quality patient care.


Specific Job Duties:

 

Responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the clinic and include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greet all clients, patients, and guests upon entering the clinic in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Communicate with clients in a friendly, calm, and compassionate way at all times, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to questions regarding their pet’s care, medical records, or clinic accounts.
  • Schedule appointments for exams, rechecks, surgeries, euthanasia services, and medical procedures in accordance with clinic protocols.
  • Advise clients on accepted payment methods (credit cards, cash, and CareCredit) and accurately process transactions.
  • Perform basic triage by distinguishing routine cases from urgent or emergency situations and directing clients appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in Avimark and Microsoft applications.
  • Understand the critical importance of accurate medical records and ensure all information and notes are properly documented in the electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front lobby, restroom, and reception areas.
  • Assist other team members with additional duties as requested.
